One of the services I offer as a London brand photographer is location shoots - photos of your workspace be it a service business, a retail space, an office. It’s really important that your potential clients see your space in the best possible light so that they really want to visit you. It’s one of the hardest things to capture yourself as due to the angles you often end up with wonky walls! That’s why a professional photographer is a great idea, as I am able to position myself to minimise that problem, and if I can’t eliminate it at the shoot then I can correct in post-production. The other advantage of hiring a professional is that I have a wide-angle lens. Do you ever see photos of rooms advertised with estate agents and think they look bigger than they actually are? That’s because a wide angle lens was used to photograph them, getting all of the room in and giving that great perspective.

One of my first location photography shoots was for Rocks Hair hairdressers in Denmark Hill, South London. When I first set up my business I was chatting to my lovely hairdresser Miguel and mentioned that I was just starting up as a brand photographer. He wanted some images to show his salon as warm and inviting, and was unable to get them himself - he had the problem of wonky walls as mentioned above! At that time I was really happy to swap photos for free haircuts :-) I just love these photos, they just make the salon look so fab and funky, don’t you think?

I have used the same handyman for years so when he asked me to take some before and after photos of a house he was renovating in East Dulwich, South London I was happy to oblige. I haven’t posted the before photos here but can I just say what an absolutely amazing job he did! I would love to live here, what beautiful rooms :-)

Here are some examples of photos I took for a venue - Space at 61 in Nunhead, South London. Space at 61 provide a fabulous space to hire for creative use - such as pop-up retail events, craft classes and supper clubs - and family gatherings such as children’s birthday parties. Shona wanted some bright, clean, fresh images for use in all her marketing. She was so happy with these!
